Radiohead announce 2017 European tour, inadvertently belying their optimism that the world won't self-destruct between now and then

In their continuing spirit of saying things that are LIKE NOTHING YOU’VE EVER HEARD,” British alt-rock prognosticators Radiohead have put aside their ongoing feuds with Oasis, Blur, Paul McCartney, Guy Fawkes, Pit The Elder, and Sir Issac Newton (I still believe Thom Yorke when he says that he invented calculus first) to once again announce something that’s, well, UNLIKE ANYTHING I’VE EVER HEARD THEM ANNOUNCE BEFORE:

They’re planning to tour Europe a little bit in 2017. :-o

Yup, inconceivable as such optimism in this puny planet’s collective-future may seem, it’s true. The band recently announced that they’d be headlining a few festivals in 2017, including Glastonbury, Belgium’s Rock Wechter, and others. But now they’ve gone and removed all doubt that apocalypse isn’t 100% certain by proceeding to plan for a couple of cozy, intimate arena gigs (which, IMO, should suit the unique brand of campfire freak-folk that they alone pioneered back in the early 2000s really, really well).

Either way, point is: things are lookin’ up all of a sudden, guys. Maybe I will bother voting in this 2016 American presidential election, after all… Nah.
