The Roots announce new album Undun, appearance(s) on Jimmy Fallon

At the end of last week, neo-soul ambassadors The Roots, a.k.a. the world’s blackest tolerators of Jimmy Fallon, announced on their Facebook page that they’d be dropping their 13th album on December 6. But, since I’m on the Google+ now (where I do nothing but relentlessly and redundantly post things about why Google+ is better than Facebook at everything to a shortlist of Gmail contacts who are already using Google+ to do the same), I didn’t find out about it until today. So, you know, try to bear with me and pretend like this is breaking news.

The new album is titled Undun and is being released via Def Jam. According to the group’s page, it’s going to be the band’s “first-ever concept album,” and I presume that it’s either about how “undun” Fallon’s monologues usually are at the time of his show’s tapings or how “undun” The Roots are getting paid gazillions to hang out and jam in a TV studio for a few hours a day. There’s no details about art or the tracklist or anything like that yet, but according to Prefix, James “I hate frat-boys” Blake supposedly guests on the thing. Wait, has James Blake ever even heard of Jimmy Fallon???
