Have you been hoping to learn the rudiments of all the penis in the world but been too afraid to ask? That’s understandable because, as we all know, penis are intimidating objects and difficult to master. However, going through life without even a rudimentary knowledge of how to operate the various penis you come across can be quite stressful, not to mention embarrassing at dinner parties. Well, fear no more about being called out for insufficient knowledge of what various penis are like by your boss or colleague, because Southern Records has your back.
As you may know (though I guess if you’re not up on your knowledge of this great world’s assorted penis maybe you don’t?) Southern Records began reissuing all of Rudimentary Peni’s — those great peni teachers — back catalog. Already they have reissued such weirdo/confusing/totally awesome/death rock/goth rock records as 1987’s Cacophony (TMT Delorean) and 1995’s Pope Adrian 37th Psychristiatric. Grip all of the currently available reissues right here. Grip them hard, too, because I’ve heard they are made of a very slippery material and you might drop them if you’re not careful.
Anyway! Southern has just announced that on May 12 they’ll be yet again hopping on that reissue train and riding it down to… Reissue Town, I guess? Once they get there (to Reissue Town) they’ll be putting out Rudimentary Peni’s excellent debut full-length Death Church. Recorded over the course of two days in April 1983, Death Church is a bonkers whirlwind, and as the press release I’m about to quote says, it’s since been “embraced and claimed by every fringe musical niche of its times…it’s the album that brought together death rockers, anarcho punks, peace punks, hardcore punks, proto-metalers and art rockers.” What a great list of genres! The whole dealy will be available as an mp3 download, CD, and super-flashy 180 g black vinyl. Grab yours come May 12 and get schooled!
