Some things take a long time to make: Seefeel announce first album in 14 years

It’s been awhile since we last heard from British, multi-hyphenated, electronic-dream-pop rockers Seefeel, but at least they’ve come back with good news. It seems that the band, whose last album was CH-VOX in 1996, have finished work on a new, self-titled album set for release on February 7 through Warp.

The new album was inspired after the reaction to their “incendiary performance” at the Warp20 anniversary concert in Paris last year, where Seefeel made their return to live performance. Steve Beckett, Warp Records co-founder, elaborates on what happened after the Warp20 performance: “[Seefeel] came back six months later — not just with a record, but a great record. This band needs to be heard, they need to be seen so that’s why we got involved again. Family members might leave for a long time but they always come home.”

Awww, nothing like a family reunion to warm my cynical heart. Pre-order the album now and get the Faults EP free (TMT News).
