Tamaryn gears up for fall US tour

Late this summer, Tamaryn released her latest full-length, Cranekiss, which just recently made our Third Quarter Favorites feature. Produced by Jorge Elbrecht (Ariel Pink/Violens), the album saw her moving from her usual haunting shoegaze vibes to a slightly more upbeat, slightly more insistent dark pop sound. (Like, “pop” if pop were made by a cool seventh-generation witch who lives in a downtown loft but who still has, like, magic potions and a grimoire and shit.)

After playing a few teaser shows on the coasts, Tamaryn is heading out on the road for a few stops across the US, kicking off in Washington, DC at the 9:30 Club. She’ll be supporting Neon Indian on a few dates before hooking up with Froth to take over California.
