Tarzana (Spencer Clark and Jan Anderzén) touring Europe through December, despite not having asked for permission

It’s not every Wednesday afternoon that I find myself writing about a European tour, but let’s be honest, it’s most Wednesdays. Seems like a lot of musical artists think touring Europe is a pretty swell thing to do, from big name acts like Fastball in 1998 and Adele to the little guys like Fastball in 2015 and Islam Chipsy. But I think we should take a step back for a second and ask the question that no one else is asking: did Europe ever ask to be toured? Seeing as how it’s a continent and not a person or an online chatbot, my guess is that the answer to that question is no, and yet we persist.

To wit: Fantasia maestro Spencer Clark and his Finnish-freakout pal Jan Anderzén (of Kemialliset Ystävät) have just announced their plans to tour that unanswering landmass buffering Russia from the Atlantic, and I’m not sure how I feel about it. I mean, on the one hand, operating as a duo under the name Tarzana (and having just dropped a new EUREKA!-worthy LP called Alien Wildlife Estate), it just seems so very appropriate. But on the other hand, I’m pretty committed to this dumb bit, so I’m conflicted.

Anyway, the dates are below, so you can evaluate on your own the extent to which you live in Europe and feel troubled by this trend.
