Thom Yorke (the singer from Radiohead) set to score his first feature length film
"About bloody time, mate." -Jonny Greenwood (probably)

Guess what? Variety has dropped a scoop by letting NME announce that Thom Yorke has signed on for his first full length soundtrack commission! He must be tired of letting his band mate Jonny Greenwood have all the fun.

The film will be a remake of a cult Italian horror film called Suspiria, which tells the story of a young American dancer arriving at a prestigious dance school in Berlin and discovering it’s not all jetes and plies. In case you care about “pesky, non-Yorke-ian details” like who the actors are: the remake will feature Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson.

As NME points out this “technically” won’t be Yorke’s first work on film (because he contributed to Velvet Goldmine and The UK Gold), but…it will be his first feature-length job. So there: it’s STILL HUGE NEWS.

The film has just moved into post-production, but there are no release dates or further details available at present. So…in the meantime, here’s this…
