Thundercat is a world-class bass player. He’s played on albums from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Flying Lotus, Kamasi Washington, and even Suicidal Tendencies. He’s made some great music in his own right. He can rock a wolf hat like nobody’s business. He’s even got a Grammy! And yet, it still feels like the layperson knows Paul Rudd better as a bass player than they do Thundercat.
There is hope though that people all around the world will get to know Thundercat a little better in the coming months, for Thundercat is taking himself to people all around the world on an extensive headlining tour. The tour kicks off February in San Francisco, and runs all the way through April 9 in Brussels. San Francisco and Brussels are not close to each other. That’s a lot of potential new Thundercat listeners per square mile (or kilometer!).
