Travi$ Scott, Young Thug, and Metro Boomin announce cow-themed hip-hop tour in March

Travi$ Scott was always bound for greatness. Who knew his greatness would fully manifest in the form of cow-wrangling, though? Not me, I’ll tell you that much. What with all his collaborating with Kanye West on Yeezus, as well as with Pusha T, Jay-Z, T.I., and his solo work, I sort of thought he’d stay strong with the hip-hop thing. But, Travi$, more power to you. Follow your dreams, even if — especially if — they involve cows, as your recently announced March release date for Rodeo seems to indicate they do. Sure, many have speculated that it’s just an album, a follow-up and fulfillment of Days Before Rodeo from last year, but in order to serve the logic of the bit I’m currently doing, I’ve chosen to not believe any of that and instead imagine Travi$ Scott’s young body tossed about on the muscled back of a furious bull under the hot lights of a stadium on a humid Texas night.

To really throw a bit of confusion into whether or not this whole Rodeo thing is definitely about bulls or hip-hop, Scott has just announced a March tour with Young Thug and Metro Boomin, which will take him around the United States of America and will include a stop at SXSW. He’s also dropped two new tracks to further muddy the water, “Nothing But Net” with Thugga and PARTYNEXTDOOR and “High Fashion” with an assist from Future whose own recently dropped Beast Mode tape seems, to this writer, to indicate — in the interest of really putting a nice bow on this dumb joke — his own desire to move out of the hip-hop game and into the ownership of a beast-infested pit game and to ultimately monetize said pit by offering pit-watching tours from the safety of his own pleasure skiff. I apologize for the direction this post has taken. As consolation, please accept the SoundCloud embeds of both of the tracks I just mentioned below.
