A Tribe Called Quest, Bjork, Frank Ocean, Nine Inch Nails, Missy Elliott, Iggy Pop — basically EVERYONE is performing at FYF Fest this year
Seriously, I even think I see your band listed in tiny letters at the bottom!

In an announcement that’s sure to make people say, “fuck yeah, fest!” the lineup for this year’s Fuck Yeah Fest Fest (a.k.a. FYF Fest, FYI), which is going down July 21-23 in Los Angeles’ Exposition Park, has been announced. And well… let’s just say: clearly the La La Land effect is real, because it seems like “everybody who’s anybody” wants to take their hopes and dreams to California and perform at FYF Fest this year.

How stacked is this lineup exactly? For one thing, there’s so many amazing performers this year that the festival had to be expanded to THREE DAYS. For another, there’s also just so damn many of those aforementioned “amazing performers” that veritable legends such as Iggy Pop and A Tribe Called Quest don’t even get top billing! But enough jibber-jabber, let’s break down just who exactly is going to be at FYF Fest 2017:

First, there’s Missy Elliott, performing her only scheduled show of 2017. She’ll be sharing top billing on Friday with…oh, just some Icelandic artist you might have heard of — named Björk?(!) Mr. Frank Ocean will make a quick stop on his victory-lap Blonde/Endless tour to headline on Saturday, and Academy Award winner Trent Reznor rounds out the weekend on Sunday with Nine Inch Nails.

Other artists slated to appear at FYF Fest 2017 include A Tribe Called Quest (in their first West Coast show since the release of We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service), Solange, Erykah Badu, Iggy Pop, Run the Jewels, Blonde Redhead (performing Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons,) Angel Olsen…the list goes on. (…Anderson .Paak and The Free Nationals, Perfume Genius, Nicolas Jaar, Slowdive, Flying Lotus, Arca…see? I told you the list goes on!) It’s madness. Madness I tells ya!

Anyway, weekend passes for the madness go on sale today (Friday, March 24), with Single Day passes set to go on sale sometime in mid-April. Head to FYF Fest’s website if you feel like overdosing on the complete insanity of the full lineup and subsequently getting angry at me for not listing your favorite artist up above. Then, take solace in the fact that I’m not going to be able to go this festival at all and am so bitter about it right now. Lastly, rub it in my face even more by watching this ridiculous footage of people having the time of their lives crowd-surfing and shouting “woooooo!” at last year’s fest. :’-(
