Sacred Bones journeys to the CD Collectors’ Temple of Dune to bring you lost Twin Peaks and Eraserhead CDs

Sacred Bones journeys to the CD Collectors' Temple of Dune to bring you lost Twin Peaks and Eraserhead CDs

The dream partnership of filmmaker/musician David Lynch and ultra-cool indie label Sacred Bones continues. According to a press release, the label “recently unearthed” limited quantities of the original CD versions of Twin Peaks: Season Two Music & More (featuring ultra-rare track “Audrey’s Rap”) and the Eraserhead soundtrack, which were released by Lynch himself half a decade ago. Featuring collaborations between Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti and Lynch and Alan Splet, respectively, each CD was lovingly rescued from a CD Collectors’ Temple of Dune or David Lynch’s fanatical aunt’s garage or a weird record store in Tulsa that went out of business 10 years ago but just recently had a “going out of business” sale — you know, something like that. There’s some story like that behind their “unearthing,” trust me.

Within the past year, Sacred Bones released David Lynch’s second album, The Big Dream (TMT Review), as well as a deluxe limited-edition version of the Eraserhead soundtrack on vinyl. Limited quantities of the Twin Peaks: Season Two Music & More and Eraserhead CDs are available online now from the Sacred Bones webstore.
