Twin Peaks announce live double LP Urbs in Horto, share track and spring tour dates

Not content to let David Lynch and his cohorts grab all the headlines in 2017, the Chicago-based garage rock quintet Twin Peaks have announced a new live double LP. It’s called Urbs in Horto and will feature recordings from two of the band’s Chicago shows last year, one at Metro and the other at Thalia Hall. The album’s tracks will span all three of the band’s albums.

In a press release, the band called Urbs a tribute to their basement show origins. “We’re excited to be releasing Urbs In Horto because our live show varies greatly from our studio output,” they said. “It retains the energy we learned in our days playing basements in a different way and has been an essential part of our existence.”

This “essential part” of their existence will be released digitally on March 31 and as a double-vinyl on May 5, during which point the band will also non-coincidentally be touring the US. Pre-order the digital version right here, the vinyl version right here, and check out the track “Have You Ever,” recorded at Thalia Hall this past December, riiiiiiight… here:
