Unsound Krakow adds Dean Blunt, Arca, Julianna Barwick, James Ferraro, and more to lineup; festival now officially cooler than a skateboarding dog

Things that are cool, a list: skateboarding dogs wearing sunglasses with irreverent catchphrases; poufy-haired dudes leaning against brick walls and playing saxophones in 80s music videos; sad rich people ennui in every indie film ever, not just the Sofia Coppola ones. But look out, Cool Things. There’s a new Overlord in town, one Cool Thing to Rule Them All or whatever. And that thing is… Unsound Krakow.

And the coolest festival in the world just got a bit um um a word that is not “cool”… more awesome with the recent announcement of the third wave of artists added to its lineup. Rhys Chatham and Charlemagne Palestine, together in a 15th-century St. Katherine’s Church! Dean Blunt! Arca! Julianna Barwick with a Polish girls’ choir! Mika Vainio! Nate Young from Wolf Eyes! Anna Zaradny! B/B/S/! Altar of Plagues’ last show ever! James Ferraro! Mykki Blanco and Gobby and Anthony Naples and Venus X and Svengalisghost and DJ I-F aka INTERR-FERENCE! Plus people from Hippos in Tanks, UNO NYC, and Underground Resistance presents: Interstellar Fugitives! All these and so many more join the forward-thinking artists of Unsound Krakow this year from October 13-20.
