Vetiver announce tour, give vague heads-up on new album

In March, the ice thaws, the sun shines, and it’s time to join the migration of hundreds of bands as they journey from one side of the country to the other. Vetiver, hailing from Sub Pop’s folk quadrant, are joining the masses in a tour across the United States, and why shouldn’t they? While there is no new material officially released since 2009’s Sub Pop debut, Tight Knit (TMT Review), according to their blog, Vetiver have kept busy in the studio and plan to have an album ready for this summer (via Sub Pop and Bella Union) — just in time for ho-downs, pig pickin’s, and whatever else bluegrass/folk-inclined people like to do.
