♫♪  Rob Magill - From The Year 1842

Consistency for Rob Magill is within his creative and expressive quarters. Through outbursts of articulate sounds, Magill has linked himself into the music by way of fusion. I shit you not, in reality, the fellah has actually melted instruments onto his body and, as limbs or extensions of himself, figures the exactly placement of inner emotional earnestness. From The Year 1842 isn’t just another release by Magill and company. It’s an island within his continuum of life through music. Nothing else matters but passionate output. Shoot, the fellah even painted this cover art!

So, to continue here, I don’t know if From The Year 1842 will be put on Magill’s new label Weird Cry Records, but the site is well worth visiting to catch up on some otherness that is just blooming through a variety of ears. Also, don’t miss the new batch on Sun Ark that just popped off this week, which also includes Magill’s new TAPE What About the Maybe? (sample here). In Stallone’s words, the tape “is a series of attentive melodic explorations on saxophone, guitar, organ and drums. Remarkably focused, revealing a patient glimmer, and erupting only when absolutely necessary. ”
