Atmospheric yet martial, a spray of dazzling tracer rounds, Emerald Fluorescents is relentless, continuously advancing, though not without precise adjustments undertaken with neurosurgical focus. “Fractal Visions,” one of the album’s longer tracks, implies its overarching beat through modulating directional patter. Is this for physical movement, or a contemplative vehicle? The meaning may be that the difference is meaningless. Over five minutes in, neurons rightly synched, whistling keys redirect the pulse to a more ambient terrain. So I guess just absorb.
