♫♪  Corum - “Garden of Aeriforms”

There’s a disciplinary room in the middle school at which I work, and they let me put various beat-tape tracks on one iPod shuffle for kids who can’t focus, and another iPod shuffle for meditation/ambient music. The disciplinary coach (who’s a fucking sweetheart) thought I was the person for this job — or at least start it out — and since then, these kids practically crave it. So of course I put a good bit of the mediation series Leaving Records is fucking with, a little bit of Laraaji and Dolphins into the Future, Les Halles, IASOS, Monopoly Child, and [OF COURSE] Corum. One kid seriously gave me the a cappella version of “Garden of Aeriforms” because he wanted to know, “Why? We’re in a jungle with this drumming, or forest, but there’s a trumpet. I like the flute, but listen…” It sounded something close to what you hear when clicking the play button below. The next day it’s -2° and this kid comes in yelling with only his breathe “I can’t feel my legs” for about an hour, so we gave him Diva’s Vibration Fruits and in about 15 minutes he was ready for the day.
