French producer Malibu made heavy our hearts with her tender track, “Held,” on PAN’s recent mono no aware compilation. She knows it, though, and her new mix for United in Flames aches along at a similarly gloomy-beautiful pace.
More than once, I’ve cried in public while listening to Merely’s “Linger” cover. I’ve forced my coworkers to listen to the original “7 Things” at company outings. I’ve repeated her back to myself in my head.
