♫♪  Treasure Teeth - “West London Manual”

Treasure Teeth’s James McKillop & Barbara Elting triangulate the sonic palettes and rhythmic joys of three cities they’ve known and loved — London, Miami, and NYC — into a mashed-up groove that’s literally so catchy I’m already logging this as one of my songs of the summer and which we’re happy to premiere here.

I’ve never been to West London so I’m dancing through the euphoric hills of these chesty drums, scribbled vocals, and skittering bits of saxophone as if led by the steady hand of a pied guide, or a set of headphones in a museum: facts chatter while history steeps itself in steps, like footsteps along broken paths that wind beside the sea, and crumbling stairways that careen through tall cities.

Stream the first single, “West London Manual”, below and circle back to hear the full album, Maître d’ of the D.W. when it’s released later this month by the consistently wonderful Embalming Lately.

And, for those currently in New York, the duo will be playing two shows this very week. Head here for dates and places.
