I just moved to Seattle, I need local music!

All of the following bands are native to the Seattle/Portland (but still plays in Seattle a bunch) area. Some (not all) of the bands are friends of mine, or friends of friends of mine, and so on. My point is, I would encourage you to become friends with them too, because they're super friendly, will probably be famous someday (some already are), and you'll feel that much more involved in your local music scene. Some of them might not actually have albums yet, and in those cases, I've provided an URL instead

Mix Tapes

Here’s how The Automatic Mix Tapes Generator works: Send us a thought, phrase, question, quotation, or whatever else, and if one of our mix tape robots fancies your suggestion, the crazy set of circuits might just make a mix tape out of it — well, at least a tracklisting for one. Request a mix tape here, and help us compile mix tapes here.
