Songs for an Art History Major

Note from Mr P: Hello, art history major Stacy! Art History was one-fourth of my interdisciplinary major, so I jumped at the chance to make this mix. I was a little heavy on Fluxus stuff, but given its connections with modern composition and minimalism, it was a natural choice. In addition to the visual/performance artists who recorded music, I tried to include more current musicians who either do visual art or are related to visual arts in some way. I intentionally avoided songs that merely reference art periods/movements/etc. Thus, this is all 20th century and beyond, with artists and musicians who align with me aesthetically and politically rather than trying to be comprehensive in any sort of way. Love you!
