Best Coast announce details for debut Crazy for You; apparently a lot of things are just plain crazy in BC's world

It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for: Get out the cooler, flip flops, and leash for your cat — we’re going to the beach! Best Coast, Bethany Costentino’s sudden pop sensation after Pocahaunted, have finally announced a date for the release of their debut full-length. No more collecting piles of BC 7-inches! No more buying CD-R collections of 7-inches! (Though if you purchase a pair of a href=”http://www.eskucheme.com/”>eskuché headphones, you can get a free Best Coast 7-inch; you can never have too many). The new album, Crazy for You, is out July 27, from Mexican Summer.

The debut contains all new material, which is nice if you’re like me and “Something in the Way” and “When I’m With You” have almost worn out their welcome on your record player (almost but not quite). The latter is included on the album as a bonus track, but otherwise Best Coast promise fresh, unreleased recordings (with the exception of “Our Deal”). Lewis Pesacov (Fool’s Gold, Foreign Born) produced the 29-minute-long album, and we of course can’t neglect to mention bandmate Bobb Bruno’s presence on the record. It’s not all about Bethany, after all.
