Sorry Beach Boys, I will never, NEVER forgive you for “Kokomo.” You get major points off for that musical aberration. Sorry everyone else in the world, I know you love The Beach Boys. Don’t send me hate mail.)
Singer Bethany Cosentino and her merry group of songsters (well… Bobb Bruno) have just shot a new video for “Boyfriend,” lead-off track from Mexican Summer debut Crazy For You, that revolves around a Quinceañera party (you know, those Sweet 15 parties for Mexican girls where they get to wear awesome frilly dresses and DANCE!) in SoCal. But that’s not all: the group has been über-busy lately, collaborating with Freddie Gibbs, The Go Team, and Weezer. And now they’re extending their North American tour, bringing sunshine and stripped-down harmonies to all of us not fortunate enough to be California Girls.
