Brian Chippendale (Lightning Bolt, Black Pus) to release "If 'n Oof," an 800-page graphic novel made using a wonderful rainbow of colors

Sometimes, Brian Chippendale gets a little tired of playing super-fast drums and singing with a mic in his mouth and a mask on his face. When these times hit, Chippendale relaxes with ink and paper and works on graphic novels. Already an accomplished artist, Chippendale has two graphic novels under his belt (Maggots in 2007 and Ninja in 2006) and has just announced that his third project, If ‘n Oof is completed and set for release on November 1 through PictureBox.

The 800-page tome is three years in the making and features a “Laurel and Hardy-esque duo who suffer a series of misadventures amidst Chippendale’s frenetic landscapes on their simple quest to just survive, eat, pay rent and avoid confrontation.” I know what you’re thinking: “Wait, isn’t that your life, Kid Midnight?” Yes, I commissioned Brian Chippendale to record my life (and my series of misadventures with my pal, Rufus) through his beautiful pictures, and I think the finished project is spectacular.

To celebrate the new book (and my life), PictureBox and Chippendale have scheduled a couple book-release events throughout the country. I suggest you go to the dates below. After that, make sure you check out Chippendale’s serialized (and also new) graphic novel, Puke Force, which will be presented on the PictureBox website.
