There are two things I’m sure of: (1) life is cruel, and (2) we need Carly Rae Jepsen. Following our own desperate plea for less of the former and more of the latter, Carly Rae Jepsen has released a new video for a song called “Party For One.” Co-written by Jepsen and produced by Captain Cuts and HIGHTOWER, the song is confirmed to be off Jepsen’s long-awaited follow-up to 2015’s life-altering E•MO•TION.
“To me ‘Party For One’ is an anthem of what it is to celebrate time with yourself, which is a hard thing for people to really enjoy sometimes, and it’s something I’m learning to do more and more,” says Jepsen. “This song represents a lot of what this album is about for me which is romantic love but self-love too.”
