Dntel emerges from his snowy mountain fortress, brings word of new EP After Parties on Sub Pop

Back in 2001, Dntel espoused the idea that Life Is Full of Possibilities. Evidently, one of those possibilities was not releasing a bunch of music under the Dntel name. While Dntel main man Jimmy Tamborello has busied himself with work in The Postal Service and under his James Figurine name, he’s only released a single full-length (2007’s Dumb Luck [TMT Review]) and a handful of singles as Dntel since 2001. Apparently, he’s been spending the whole time in his mountain hideaway, growing a gnarly beard and planning a day like today, a day where Jimmy Tamborello descends from said mountain hideaway, self-made bullhorn in hand, to deliver the following message:

I HAVE A NEW EP COMING OUT ON SUB POP IN NOVEMBER. IT IS CALLED AFTER PARTIES. ALSO I AM PLAYING A COUPLE OF LIVE DATES IN CALIFORNIA. ALRIGHT, LATER Y’ALL.

Dntel dates:

09.25.10 - San Francisco, CA - Public Works
10.10.10 - Los Angeles, CA - The Bootleg Theater
