The Flaming Lips may introduce children to acid on Yo Gabba Gabba! in November

Nick Jr.’s Yo Gabba Gabba! has had its fair share of legit musical acts unafraid to represent for younger folks in the past. Artists like Mark Mothersbaugh, Biz Markie, Cornelius, of Montreal, and MGMT have all made their distinctively freakish imprint on the show at some point during its brief but highly prestigious history. And yet, none of these past guests are nearly as notoriously freakish as The Flaming Lips, who will be the featured musical act on the show come Friday, November 5, performing the Embryonic (TMT Review) favorite “I Can Be a Frog,” which was apparently penned by the Yo Gabba Gabba! writing team(!). Word has it that live performances of the jam involve the usual animal costumes, smoke machines, and full-on acid freak-out, so expect something along those lines. Or it could be like this.
