The lineup for last year’s HOCO Fest scored BIG in terms of its awesomeness/TMT appeal, so wouldn’t it be pretty weird if the festival’s operators (associated with Hotel Congress, hence “HOCO”) suddenly abandoned their newfound interest in experimental eclecticism, like a concussion victim who reverts to his/her vanilla personality as the symptoms gradually dissipate?

Yes. Yes it would.

Well, let’s see…the first three names I see on that handy infographic above are Dean Blunt, Lil B, and Andrew W.K., so we’re clearly on track following what HOCO refers to as a “breakout year” in the aforementioned 2017.

This year’s edition will take place August 29 through September 2, and in addition to those three, the lineup includes M.E.S.H., Soul Ipsum, Topaz Jones, Alex Zhang Hungtai, Bad Gyal, and a couple dozen others. The festival has also expanded outside of Hotel Congress into three venues around downtown Tucson.

Check the full lineup and ticket info here, then watch the fest’s trailer and hear a few music samples pulled at random from the stellar grab-bag of performing artists below.
