Listen up fools, listen up sucker MCs! Techno producer/scat champion Matias Aguayo is back and he has a message for you: he doesn’t smoke. Maybe you smoke, but Matias Aguayo does not. The man smokes so little, he has even opted to name his latest EP I Don’t Smoke. Slowly but surely, we are learning more of Matias Aguayo and his personal habits. In my dreams, future EPs will detail the producer’s eating habits and his literary tastes.
Kompakt will release this ode to keeping them lungs clean on June 6 through digital and 12-inch formats. Technically, I Don’t Smoke is a four-track-deep EP. But do not be fooled! The digital version actually contains two bonus tracks, so perhaps it was a six-track EP all along. Or perhaps it really is a four-track EP, albeit one with two bonus tracks on the digital version.
Aguayo will be taking his personal anti-smoking message on the road this summer — the European road, that is! Because, you know, when you tour Europe, you take European roads. Look, just read the dates and imagine that Aguayo is scatting them all to you. I bet he could pull it off.
