When you’ve been around for over 15 years and have released almost as many full-length albums as fingers on your hands, it’s totally cool to take a break for a couple years and just chill. Thankfully, Deerhoof are done relaxing, and not only are they currently recording a new album in San Francisco, but they’re also ready to head back on tour. So soon enough, when someone asks how many albums they’ve released, they can hold up both hands and say “This many!” Or, uh, maybe not. Either way, the quartet will hit the West Coast this summer and will play Montreal on (gasp!) October 10, 2010.
