Listen up, you troglodytes! I’m gonna try to keep this one duumbed down for you: The unwaveringly laid-back reggae/punk duderinoes in Slightly Stoopid have announced the impending release of their ninth full-length album and shared its first single.

I know what you’re thinking: “Phew — not a moment too soon! What could summer be without getting stoopid?! I can finally give this new Elysia Crampton a break!”

The album is named Everyday Life, Everyday People, and it features guest appearances from Yellowman, Ali Campbell of UB40, Chali 2na of Jurassic 5, Sly Dunbar, G. Love of G. Love and Special Sauce, and more. The whole shebang is out July 13 via Stoopid Records. The aforementioned first single is called “If You Want It,” and you can listen to it below. Pre-orders of the album come with a free instant download of “If You Want It,” whether you want it or not.

The Stoops (as all us true fans have obviously been calling them for years) also have 43 (!) tour dates throughout the summer. You can read through all of those below. If you make it to every date, please contact me because I would love to interview you.
