New Zealand-born, San Francisco-based shoegazer Tamaryn is back with a new LP for Mexican Summer, and with it a tour so lengthy just reading the dates will make your laundry cry. The dusky-voiced Tamaryn will usher in fall with a few European dates before heading back to the States for a month-long cross-country jaunt, plus a couple stops in our neighbor to the North. (Canada, you guys. Canada.) Meanwhile, the leaves will fall, the seasons will change, the wine will mull, and basically it’s going to be perfect Tamaryn weather.
Our Antipodean heroine will be setting sail in a tour van full of melancholy skeletons, forgotten dreams, and moonbeams (you know, FALL STUFF), along with musical partner Rex John Shelverton, to celebrate the release of the duo’s latest, Tender New Signs. Lead single “I’m Gone” dropped this summer; the release date on the new album is October 16. The LP comes out on — those magical words! — clear vinyl, and is limited to a pressing of 2,000.
