Melancholy Dane Trentemøller is back with Fixion, his fourth full-length album. Due in September, Fixion is the follow-up to his 2013 release, Lost. I know. Sooooooo far away! But fear not, fans of darkly romantic tunez: the first single/video is coming on June 24. Called “River in Me,” the single features Jehnny Beth of Savages on vocals. The collaboration was born when Trentemøller met Savages’ producer Johnny Hostile and was asked to mix their most recent album Adore Life.

The video is the creation of KITON EMENIUS, a collaboration Swedish director Åsa Riton and Andreas Emenius; shot in northern Sweden, it depicts a love story between two women in a “bleak winterlandscape.” They’ll be working together on all three forthcoming videos for the new LP, and Emenius is handling the album’s artwork.

Trentemøller and his team will be playing a few select shows in Europe and the US this fall before doing a full-on tour in 2017. It’s all TBD for now, but you can start planning your life around being in Berlin or NYC if you want.
