Björk has unveiled another song from her ambitious Biophilia project (you can listen to the first single, “Crystalline,” here.). The track is called “Cosmogony,” and it’s the album’s “theme song.” The track (and its corresponding app) will be available on iTunes tomorrow, July 19, but All Neon Like has hooked us up with an early listen.
Biophilia is out late September on Nonesuch and One Little Indian.
Carla Bozulich’s Evangelista project is back with a new album, In Animal Tongue. Due September 20 on longtime home Constellation, the album features bassist Tara Barnes and keyboardist Dominic Cramp backing up Bozulich, whose lyrics are, in her own words, driven “by the forces of rocks, evolution, geology, drugs, boxing, everything-ology and dead stuff that makes the dirt and cement and the trees grow. Plus real versus fake!!!” (For more fantastic quotes, check out our 2008 interview with Bozulich here.)
Check out “Artificial Lamb,” the album’s leadoff track.
The Hunter [album trailer]
Warner Bros. wants us to feast our eyes on the “official” album trailer for The Hunter, the forthcoming fifth album from metal dudes Mastodon. For those keeping track, that crunchy riff in the trailer comes from album track “Black Tongue.” Expect that riff and a bunch of other ones in full later this year.
Death Grips, the Sacramento hip-hop group (which just so happens to feature drummer boy Zach Hill), have posted a video for “Beware,” the intro track to ExMilitary. The free, self-released mixtape made our list of favorite 25 albums of the year so far. Hear the full album here:

Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks
Stephen Malkmus, the Kemialliset Ystävät of indie rock, has another track to share. This one’s called “Tigers,” definitely the coolest cat in the Felidae family.
