♫♪  Blossoming Mums - Dithering Mornings

Another gem from the recent Night People Records batch drop: Dithering Mornings by Blossoming Mums. Anyone else get a giggle off that title? Because, having hear the release now three times through, the work’s name paired with the band name make entire sense literally to their sound. Throughout the smiling melancholic Dithering Mornings, Blossoming Mums seem to bloom within the most dreary and even haunted sounding somber guitar, keyboard, light/distant drumming, echoed moans, and purely feint harmonies. It’s the fading light the tunnel barely keeps flickering, and at its end, a fresh batch of flowers being watered by the run-off from a garbage heap, bold in beauty. Blossoming Mums tend to be the choir of angels underwater, and Dithering Mornings will match that slap-in-your-face alarm around 6AM on a level of understanding and audible kindness. So take the drift below for the full stream of the album, and head on over to Night People Records for the freshest batch drop, including two new “80’s Danceall/Reggae Mix Tape[s] from Vinyl” side-label action, Lick It Back.
