“The More Mystery and Romance = More Sales”

Here is a billowing piece of synthesizer cloud from Seth Graham, a.k.a QUILT. It comes from one side of an Aural Diptych series being put out on Thisquietarmy Records (home to Aidan Baker of Nadja, Elika, Apillow, Electroluminescent, Le Chat Blanc Orchestra, and more). If you enjoy any of the new ambient synthesizer revivalists like Emeralds and Oneohtrix Point Never, then this is right up your alley.

“That Will Never Get Blood Out Of A Clown Suit”

Chicago group Locks, a self-described “co-dependent, self indulgent, 2 man solo project,” will release their new album, Suicides Don’t Commit Themselves, June 15 on Static Station. The video above, for the track “That Will Never Get Blood Out Of A Clown Suit,” is the group’s “first-ish” video (not sure what that means, but the Chocolate Grinder likes it!) and features some dolly/lighting work by Ben Chandler and Brian Henry. If only every video had Chandler and Henry doing dolly/lighting work.

CHOCOLATE GRINDER is our audio/visual section, with an emphasis on the lesser heard and lesser known. We aim to dig deep, but we'll post any song or video we find interesting, big or small.
