Sometimes, conundrums come true. Originally released digitally on Afternoons Modeling, DREAM CASTLE by TANNING SALON (a.k.a. Vektroid) was recently pressed on double vinyl (triple-sided w/ the D-side immaculately etched):
So it took me back. A bit. And then, within the first 15 minutes of the first track, I’m distant, collecting all thoughts imaginable, dealing with unexplained questions only NOBODY has answers to.. so I find peace. Then, the next 25 minutes bare a soul crushing adventure that pairs perfect with both sides of an LP groove that completes sonics that only the likes of TANNING SALON can deliver. But what gets me is the last-track fade-away. That maze of sound just surrounding an exile purely picked of fruits and vegetables grown from the labyrinth walls, suckling water from fountains in centers that encircle and endless center.
