♫♪  Footings - “Believer”

Guitar music, mother fuckers. Remember it? Still exists. And Sophomore Lounge Records is leading the pack, among a few other special TMT favz. So where’s the next step? Footings. Here giving their all, Footings provides almost a confessional number in faith entitled, “Believer.” From the new tape Alienation, Footings really goes for the personal feels in “Believer” with just a tender touch of guitar infused melody and rhythm (electric AND acoustic), mixed at about the same levels as their harmonious vocals, and blending breathy bow’d strings. Lyrically, “Believer” is super sincere too, collecting images and instances that gently tug on them sensitive strings like nostalgia. Oddly, there’s a weird vibe of commitment to “Believer” too, as if it’s instilling this type of motion to point out the dedication it takes to dive into the unknown. Which is what Sophomore Lounge Records is doing respectfully by splitting Footings’ tape Alienation with new label Sexual Decade, respectfully (and hopefully) driving more attention their way for bit of that friendship boots. But be a “Believer.” Tomorrow is Friday. Scope Footings new single and then head on over to the cassette-tape purchase page to find another track AND pre-order opportunities.
