♫♪  Midwives - “Back in the Saddle Again”

Sometimes it’s good for me to come out of the rut of “bleepy bloopy” electronic music that I listen to and post about all the damn time, and get down to some good old rock. Usually when I do that, there’s a good amount of solid rock jams coming out of Milwaukee that I don’t have to look too far before something comes up, and in this case that is Midwives. Although they’re a little “harder” than I tend to go for, their upcoming EP, Cowboy Songs, is short and to the point. It doesn’t waste one of its twelve minutes. Album opener “Back in the Saddle Again,” premiering below, is a minute and twenty second gut punch of guitars, drum, bass, and snarling vocals. We’re pleased to debut this new track, as well as to announce the official December 4 release date of the EP (on 7” vinyl), via Milwaukee’s own Dusty Medical Records. Dig in, and see you in the pits!
