Sole rubber be prepared to melt, because if y’all thought that 204 Murdok EDIT EP was fire and Element Protector EP lit up your nodes, prepare to cone on some new RLX ASSASSYN mind twerking with STRONG EP. That club protege is back, and this time: SHIT GETS RIPPED! “A mere seven-track EP?” You ponder without listening — only seeing the Bandcamp release page of STRONG EP — but upon clicking play, worlds and beats collide with syncopated SYN that only a loose Backwoods could get you to come down from RLX ASSASSYN’s musical high. There’s lasers that turn into shoe-skids, tip-toe snares that are like metal hanging and bellowing throughout the barren winter-city streets, glimmers encapsulating melodies that vibrate and shatter the masses, timbre effects that stutter and moan, and such control that it seems RLX ASSASSYN has more self-discipline on voice samples than the originator of the voice itself. And I keep thinking there’s a Slime Season sample somewhere in here, but it’s actually right before RLX ASSASSYN’s track on the recent Thump mix made by (Mind Club Worldwide -future- label-mate) DJ New Jersey Drone, which I recommend to anyone with working ears.
