The Avalances are back. For real this time. After updating their social media accounts yesterday, the Melbourne group — now a duo of Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi — has confirmed three upcoming festivals: London’s Field Day, Byron Bay’s Splendour in the Grass, and Barcelona’s Primavera Sound, which they’ll perform at twice.
Since I Left You, The Avalanches’ debut album, came out in 2000 and featured over 3,000 samples. Still no news on a follow-up, but I’ll bet my face that news’ll be coming soon.
