Danny Elfman prepares for cheery Easter concert of music from Tim Burton flicks, nah j/k, it's a Halloween concert

In a move that proves my lifelong theory that it’s never too early to start thinking about Halloween, Danny Elfman has announced the dates and locations of his 2014 Halloween concerts. This may come as a shocker: one is actually ON Halloween. Hold the phone!!!

So, people of Los Angeles and people with money to travel to Los Angeles, prepare yourselves for the wonder and dark majesty of Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton, two glorious evenings featuring Elfman’s original suites from all sixteen (16!) of the Elfman/Burton collabos. Fun Fact: Elfman himself sang Jack Skellington’s parts in The Nightmare Before Christmas and he’ll be singing ‘em again, live! The magic happens on Friday, October 31 at Nokia Theater L.A. Live (“Where the Cell Phones Go!”) and Sunday, November 2 at the Honda Center (“Vroom Vroom!”). This marks Elfman’s second time performing in the US since 1995’s Halloween Oingo Boingo farewell show at the Universal Amphitheatre. Tickets on sale now.
