Ukraine artist Edward Sol releases Family Nails on Jason Lescalleet's Glistening Examples

Ukraine artist Edward Sol has a background in sound design and film soundtracks, and he’s putting that experience to use these days by releasing noise, musique concrète, and tape music through labels like Chocolate Monk, Sentimental Productions, and his own Quasi Pop imprint. His newest album is called Family Nails, a five-track release that evokes themes of familial conflict, shrouded timelines, and ambiguous resolutions through an assortment of cassette loops, synth, reel tapes, contact mics, and more. It’s out today on Jason Lescalleet’s Glistening Examples.

Preview the album via Bandcamp below, followed by an incredible video for “Birds Of The Sunrise Prism,” which features cinematic collages and videography by Larry Jordan.
