Rise Against announce new album The Black Market while I reminisce about teenagers doing donuts

When I was 17, one of my friends made a video of him doing donuts in his car in the middle of a dirt lot somewhere in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. The video was set to “State of the Union,” the opening track from Chicago-based punk rock group Rise Against’s third album, Siren Song of the Counterculture. Everyone agreed: the video was so sweet.

BUT THOSE DAYS ARE OVER. On July 15, Rise Against are putting out their seventh album, The Black Market, through Interscope. The record’s first single is called “I Don’t Want to Be Here Anymore” and is out on digital platforms today (June 10). If you are interested in watching a teaser video for the record, go over to Rise Against’s website, or watch the lyric video for the single below.

I miss that video of my friend doing donuts. Let me be honest for a second. I would pay up to $100 for that video.
