Twin Peaks soundtrack to be reissued before series return, fans might need to be sedated

Get your Xanax out, fans of cult-classic-campy-murder-mystery-influential-inspirational-many-other-adjectives TV series Twin Peaks. You’re probably already overexcited at the news of the series’ return in 2016. Special Agent Dale Cooper! Audrey Horne! Perhaps even Log Lady! They all might be coming back in 2016 (and, duh, original director David Lynch is writing and directing all of the new episodes)!

But wait! There’s more! Try to contain yourself: the classic Angelo Badalamenti soundtrack to the show’s first season, plus the soundtrack to the Twin Peaks film Fire Walk With Me, are set for a fancy vinyl reissue on Death Waltz in January 2015. The soundtracks haven’t been released on vinyl since the early 90s when the show originally aired, so get ready to relive that part of your life (personally, I was a baby at that time, but I’ll still feel some sense of faux nostalgia, I’m sure).

So while you’re waiting for the new episodes to launch on Showtime in two years or whatever, you’ll at least have the soundtrack to tide you over. Maybe do some yoga or something in the meantime.
