The Avalanches are releasing new music today

Update (8:40 PM): Triple J announced that they’ll help premiere the new Avalanches track, which they confirm as “Frankie Sinatra.” It’ll play here. Info about the group’s long-anticipated second album is expected afterward.

It’s been 16 years since they left us, but The Avalanches are, today, finally releasing new music. Zane Lowe just announced that he’ll be interviewing Tony Di Blasi and Robbie Chater on his Beats 1 show at midnight tonight EST, which will include new music from the group. It’s unclear when The Avalanches will make the new music available outside the show, but we’ll find out soon.
