Staring at your face in the mirror for more than a minute. Thinking about shaving, but the only thing you’ve done today was grow facial hair. Like heaven on a slope, it’s always just about to avalanche, but with a little balance and luck, life will find a way. And so did Helen on Kranky Records, climbing the mountainous cliff-side after releasing the Felt This Way 7-inch in 2013. The trio’s debut album, The Original Faces —featuring some deep players— is being released September 3 (available September 4), and will provide a way deeper meaning to your life. That or just another memory you’ll spin to soundtrack the end of summer 2015.
