On the hush, but with a high note, LoVibe is one of my top favorite beat making producers of today. Last year’s One&Onlee on Acorn Tapes totally blew me away. It was a daily banger during my commute, and worked both for those nap time subway rides and turned up jog from the A to the 7. Thus, I’m overwhelmed with joy because Dirty Tapes is dropping another famous split tape, and this time, LoVibe is on the prowl with HANN_11.
HANN_11 on the flip-side goes future and further into the collection, reaching depths of hip hop, effect driven nostalgia mingled with raw cuts. Similar to LoVibe in heart-pound and measure, HANN_11 seems to find the melody first before the beat (where as LoVibe typically cuts beats into and without a melody to mingle). Although, both provide a warm sound like a comfort blanket in these times of walking carrots and cake-piece comb-overs. Be on the look out to trip at Dirty Tapes for every last good vibe on this earth. 2017 just getting started:
