♫♪  Ploy - “Roy’s Rolls”

Wild cut as UK producer Ploy keys on a musical feature most oft used as a quick fill or suspensive cue and just utterly magnifies and blows up the thing until it transcends what it usually is and becomes what it is here: a drumroll that builds and percolates, blurred and chopped, sometimes flaring. Ploy dials aspects and potentials of a caffeine-rapid percussive pulse, around which whir flight simulator sounds to make it takeoff. But the rolling drum’s clearly the main deal and done with rapt focus. Immersive drumroll please. From a 12-inch called Ramos released by Bristol label Timedance.
