From deep in the rain-soaked forests of western Washington state, Prana Crafter crafts woodland guitar-led ragas for the modern age. MindStreamBlessing is a vinyl reissue of an out of print cassette edition, both from the psych-wizards at Seattle’s Eiderdown Records, and this one is a doozy. Across eight tracks, Prana Crafter’s Wil Sol blazes forth with slabs of trance-inducing electric blues, pastoral folk riffs, and an ever present shamanistic connection to the mossy woods of his home. The reissued vinyl drops March 15, with artwork by Max Clotfelter. Dig deep into this one, as it’s likely to be a barn burning scorcher you’ll need any time of the year.
